I make small, luminous paintings that sit between landscape and constellation—night gardens, branching forms, and flickers of light that feel part earthly, part celestial. Many works are painted on sandpaper; the abrasive surface catches and scatters light, giving the colour a rough glow and a shifting depth.
I’m drawn to edges, borders and apertures—the way a painting can feel like a window, a rug, or a fragment of a larger scene continuing beyond the frame. My influences range from painting and museums to mythology, night skies, comics, and remembered places, but the aim is always the same: to make an ambiguous space that holds your attention and changes as the light changes.
I have exhibited nationally and internationally, and my work is held in private collections in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada and Asia.
