Tjerk Reijinga

I was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands, in 1955, in a family with many creative relatives so it was no surprise that I picked up painting and designing. My paintings have been auctioned, others are housed in the collections of distinguished private persons, companies, museums and banks.My appreciation of the great masters has inspired my technique which covers Still Life's, Landscapes, Marines and Murals that translates as "Trompe l'Oeuils". During my work, I developed my style into a more magical surrealistic one, combining old, 17th Century, objects with serene landscapes and skies from this age.

I developed my painting skills for the most by myself, just by carefully investigating the old masters techniques and by painting.In addition, I was taught by one of the best restorers of old masters in the Netherlands.
