Thomas D. Meyer

Born in Baltimore, Maryland in a log cabin on a hill in the trees. In a world full of complexity and visual noise, I find pleasure in the simple and overlooked. While the finished product is undoubtedly a face, the true pleasure comes from the minute components that create the whole. I find dots of red in a corner of a lip and a slash of green in a sunlit eye more exciting than the trickery or novelty needed to catch a jaded eye.The world with nothing in it is full, is it the figure or the field that should draw your attention?By portraying the persona that are a part of the modern worlds undying noise and breaking them down into lines and dots of color, I feel that in some way I may be breaking down the myth that surrounds their existence and returning them to their true bits and pieces.
