Alex Tof

Born in 1983 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Alex Tof is a painter whose work is deeply rooted in the landscape and everyday life of central Slovenia. Drawing inspiration from the Sava River valley and the surrounding mountains, their paintings reflect a close relationship with both living and non-living nature. Themes of labor, sport, and rural community life recur throughout the work, exploring the quiet dignity of environments distanced from urban intensity. Through painting, Tof's positions themself as a visual chronicler of a place where human connection and coexistence with nature still define daily life.

Alex Tof graduated from Arthouse Ljubljana, with a focus on modern Czech art, particularly the work of Frank Kupka.
