Thomas Gowen

I work primarily in oils at my home studio or on location using palette knife which has enabled me to achieve vibrancy, simplicity and texture inspired by the natural world and techniques employed by the Impressionists and modern landscape painters, notably Constable, Turner, Pisarro and Cezanne.


I always develop a piece by thinking long and hard about the emotive, what it is that I feel I want to share.
