I believe that most of the time sexuality makes itself too obvious. Sensuality is fleeting.
Sensuality comes hidden inside reactions and subtle body language.
Sensuality reveals the soul, and thats where I want to be.
My photography of woman in particular has been a lifelong desire to capture the sensuality of the moment. I believe after 40 years shooting women that this ability to express themselves comfortably revealing the strength and sensuality that shows the soul…….. gets better with age. Its this combination of sensuality and chic sophistication in a captured moment that reveals the soul.
Ive spent a lifetime both sides of the camera. My provenance is creative. My Mum, Judy Barraclough was a world famous model of the 1950s & 60s and my Uncle David Potts was one of Australia’s best known Time/Life photographers of the 1940s & 50s. My brother Timothy is the Director of The Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
As a model, I appeared in the editorial pages of almost every Vogue magazine in Europe, saw the world, and worked with some of the very best fashion photographers in the world like Helmut Newton, Denis Piel, Patrick Demarchelier, Albert Watson, Oliviero Toscani, Norman Parkinson, and other legends.
