Salvatore Petrucino

Hi, I'm Salvatore Petrucino, aka Totò. I am a great lover of art.
In fact, I believe that art is a great means of communication, it helps to feel good and transmits great energy both to those who create it and to those who admire it. Art enriches the environments where we live making them more serene and shining, it positively influences our mood making us happier. Since I started painting more than 10 years ago, my way of looking at things has changed, I am more observant and attentive to details. For me, art is an outlet through which I express my emotions.

In my paintings inspired mostly by a surreal-metaphysical style, we find suggestive plays of shadows with which I try to express my ideas, my moods and my deepest feelings: the shadows, absolute protagonists of my works,, let dreams, emotions and daily fears emerge. Chess, another dominant theme of my works, merging with the shadows to create imaginative images that aim to communicate a pure stimulus to the sensitivity of those who '' read '' my paintings.

I am a self-taught artist.

Biennale di Roma 2016. 2016 Prima competizione di pittura classificata al CAOS di Terni in occasione del secondo Chess Open. Mostra Maison d'art 2017 a Padova. Festival d'Arte dell'Umbria 2018. Mostra 2019 al premio Velazquez Madrid. 2019 Vincitore del premio dell'associazione del concorso Museo Ovopinto a Civitella del lago. 2020 Secondo posto nel concorso del museo Ovopinto a Civitella del lago. Premio Dante Alighieri 2021 Firenze.2022 Mostra collettiva Ibiza, Spagna. 2022 Mostra Personale presso la galleria Art Salon di Ariccia. 2022 Mostra Personale presso Atelier Montez Roma. 2023 Partecipazione alla prima biennale della riviera romana. 2024 Mostra collettiva (l'essenza del gioco) presso la galleria Coral, Milano. 2025 Mostra Collettiva (Surrealismo il teatro dell'assurdo) presso il Contemporary Space a Torino. 2026 Gran premio internazionale dell’arte, Milano.
