Tracey Zettler

I was born and raised in Durban, the east coast of South Africa, with my two younger sisters. It was on a school field trip to Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve in the Natal Midlands that my love for the African bush was born. Since then the call of the outdoors has always had a big pull in my life - spending as much time as possible there. I was a girl guide, and later led a Scout group when my daughter decided to join scouts. This only grew my love of the great outdoors and the African landscape. Then way back around 2006 with a bonus I received from work I bought my first digital camera - a mere point and shoot; little knowing that having that and a trip to a big 5 game farm would introduce me to photography. So grew another love affair - photography. About a year later I bought my first DSLR, and together with that and my love of the outdoors so my photography career would grow. Nothing (apart from my beautiful daughter and grandson) gives me more pleasure than being able to capture a landscape or nature that I so enjoy and being able to share it with those around me and the world. I graduated high school in 1990, and then went nursing for a few years. I have had a few jobs since then. In the last 10 years or so I have done a number of weekend photography courses, as well as joining a camera club.
