PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Bellagio

Las Vegas is known for experiential design—theatrical, immersive, and extravagant. Standing apart from this characteristic spectacle, Bellagio hotel transports guests in tune with the city’s spirit, while offering a refined vision of luxury. In the property’s recently renovated Spa Tower Suites, award-winning design studio Champalimaud needed to strike a balance: create an elevated residential experience that encompasses Vegas grandeur and timeless elegance. Bespoke artwork was our team’s answer to completing this vision.

Bellagio was originally inspired by Lake Como and the classical charm of the region reverberates in the redesign. Our Hospitality Art Advisors, led by Saatchi Art’s Chief Curator and VP, Art Advisory Rebecca Wilson, drew from Lake Como’s surrounding natural beauty and Italian architecture for the art direction of the suites. Custom bas reliefs were installed depicting local flora and fauna and serve as architectural elements and focal points of the room. Rich in detail and soft in palette, the ivory-white sculptural panels complement plush velvet furnishing, textural carpets, and muted greens, grays, and golds of the space. The Northern Italian landscape continues through commissioned paintings of the lake, portals to Como’s serene and storied shores with a contemporary edge.

Moving through the suites, guests experience a carefully orchestrated dialogue between design and art, one that speaks through nuance rather than declaration. Each artistic element exemplifies Champalimaud’s approach to quiet luxury, creating spaces that embody Bellagio’s ability to feel both aspirational and intimately welcoming.
