Travis Geter

I'm a self-taught portrait photographer who moved to Atlanta at the end of 2020 after spending 6 years in Los Angeles. Originally from Baltimore, I moved to LA in 2014 in hopes of figuring out my creative future. I've always been super passionate about photography, but decided to pursue it professionally a little after a year of moving to the City of Angels. I picked up my first camera in June of 2015 and haven’t put it down yet.

I love portrait photography. It's intimate and real. I believe personally connecting with your subject on some level will always create a beautiful image. I challenge myself to create art that tells a story or give light to social issues. My work isn't super polished and that's my intention. Nothing is overly photoshopped. I like to focus on the real person and capturing an authentic image. Black and white photos are my favorite and I LOVE to play with shadows.
