Tony Roberts

I’m Tony Roberts, ex-monk and chartered engineer, a professional artist since 2004, creating sculptures and artworks in multiple disciplines for public and private clients worldwide, and winning a few awards along the way. I’ve now slowed down after open-heart surgery but continue to create and sell highly original multimedia works in digital, acrylic and glass media in my self-built woodland home, studio and workshops in the Welsh borders.

Influenced by Hockney’s digital tools and my own background in glass-casting, I create 'digital stained glass' that explores the intersection of structure, color, and light.

My education in the monastry was eclectic, ranging from practical skills (graphics, catering, tailoring, and much more) to the more philisophical. Later, I aquired two degrees (BA and BEd), became a chartered engineer, and gained distinction in sculpture at the OCA.
