My name is Ula Basińska and I´m a nomade painter. I came from Poland and now I live with my family in a small valley by the foot of the mountains of the Andean Patagonia, on the banks of the Rio Azul river. I really treasure the feeling of being part of nature....of being nourished by its majestic calm. My artwork reflects a constant amazement towards the miracles of the Earth that surrounds me. I use watercolor in my paintings. It fascinates me as it’s alive and unpredictable and at the same time, light and subtle. Sometimes I combine watercolor with digital editing in order to create negatives that look like nocturnal versions of daylight paintings. I like to keep and watch both versions, contemplating the light and the shadow of a same reality.
