Ljubisa Urosevic

Throughout my career, I’ve been focused on painting, primarily using oil on linen canvas. My artistic practice involves exploring the themes of time and space, which I approach through broad brush strokes and a color-driven technique, deliberately avoiding traditional drawing. This method allows me to express my contemplation of space and time beyond realistic depictions.

After experimenting with various materials such as coal and mosaic, I found that oil on canvas best suits my expressive needs. I often work in a medium format of 80x80 cm, which balances the freedom for painterly expression with a compact size adaptable to different environments.

Born in Belgrade in 1956.
Member of the Serbian art Association (ULUS) since 1982.

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1980, where he studied painting under professor Cedomir Krstic. In 1984, he further specialized at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, enriching his artistic education.

Participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions.
