Uttam Kumar Gold Medalist Professional Foot Artist

Hi, I am Uttam Kumar, a Gold Medalist professional foot artist from Jammu & Kashmir, India. I have been creating original oil-on-canvas paintings for nearly four decades, painting entirely with my left foot due to a severe physical disability affecting both of my arms.

My artistic practice includes large-scale original paintings inspired by wildlife, landscapes, Indian heritage and culture, spirituality, architecture, figurative narratives, and contemporary abstraction. My works have been exhibited across India and internationally and have reached collectors in several countries.

Over the years, my artistic journey has been recognized through numerous awards and honours, including a National Award and three State Awards. I have also had the privilege of serving as a Brand Ambassador for prominent institutions and organisations.

Every painting I create is an original work developed with patience, detail, colour, emotion, and storytelling. My physical disability has shaped my distinctive method of painting, but I want my work to be recognized above all for its artistic quality, craftsmanship, and creative vision.
