Evangelos Konstantelos

Evangelos Konstantelos is a London based artist and researcher. He was born in 1980 in Greece and has presented his artworks in numerous exhibitions in Greece, Spain and the United Kingdom.

His artistic journey began as an undergraduate student at the University of Ioannina, Greece, where he received his BA from the Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences in 2005. During that period he experimented with different mediums and techniques including Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography, Scenography, Graphic Design and New Media in Arts.

In 2006, after having received a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation, he moved to the UK to explore new paths in the Arts and further deepen his knowledge at postgraduate level. He received his Masters from the Department of Arts, Design and Performance at the University of Central Lancashire in 2007, with specialization in Painting and Printmaking.

He was awarded his Ph. D from the University of Salford (the College of Arts and Social Sciences) in 2013, where he completed his research on the concept of terror inflicted by the military and the concept of victimhood, as presented by the artists Jacques Callot (c. 1592 - 1635), Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes ...
