Painting "FiftyThree" recently sold to NBC studios for the set design on the Netflix series "The Diplomat" starring Allison Janney and Keri Russel. Painting "Eleven" received the Honorable Mention award Abstract/Experimental category of the Artists Magazine’s 42nd Annual Art Competition. Author and Illustrator of the children's book "What Paul Made - A Story about a Young Paul Klee" sold at Neue Galerie in Brooklyn, NYC, and is available on Amazon. A former jewelry designer, recipient of the ProyectoAce residency in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Chateau Orquevaux International Artist Residency. A former welding apprentice to sculptor John "Jack" Kearney in Provincetown, MA, Valerie's accessory designs were selected for the Obama-Biden presidential campaign, Golden Globes, and Sundance Film Festival. Valerie enjoys paddleboarding on Lake Michigan, meditation, coffee shops, naps, and travel.
