My paintings emerge from a dialogue between painting and drawing, where layers, texture and line slowly build a space for contemplation

Valérie Mantha is a contemporary abstract painter based in Sainte-Flore, Quebec, Canada.

Since 2020, she has developed a distinctive visual language built on the interaction between painting and drawing. Working primarily with acrylic paint and pencil, she creates layered compositions where color, texture and line coexist in a constant dialogue.

Originally trained in business administration at HEC Montréal and exposed to architectural design studies at the Université de Montréal, her work reflects a balance between structure and intuition. Large painted masses, subtle color relationships and recurring hand-drawn marks contribute to compositions that invite both distant observation and close inspection.

Her paintings have been featured multiple times on the Saatchi Art homepage and are held in private collections in Canada and internationally. She is a professional member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV).
