Valerii Kaplia

Date of birth – 1966/11/10. Ukraine. Mykolayiv city.
Valerii Kaplia was born in a family of artists and continued art dynasty. He is an Ukrainian artist known for his own unusual style mixed of different art directions, like surrealism and hyperrealism, with deep attention to the illustrated plot, which reflects different subjects referring to the complexity of people’s relationship.
His way as artist started after finishing art school in 1981. He became part of big team in art advertising agency of USSR in 1983. Experienced colleagues and team of professional artists made an impression on him and his worldview. Valerii decided to continue his art way and from 1987 to 1992 he studied in South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, the Faculty of arts and graphics.
During this time, he started to find his own direction in art and created his first surrealism artwork. It was the entry point and after one year, since 1991 he started taking part in various Ukrainian exhibitions.
In 1993 he was a teacher in Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and took part in Exhibition of the university teachers in the museum named after Vereshagin.
