Sandor Vamos is an artist. I was born in Hungary.
I get joy in drawing and painting. I like to explore, discover “dangerous and risky” ways to create.
There are many decisions made during a work in progress, it’s very exciting. It’s a big challenge for me,
but I have to try the impossible. It gave me and adrenaline rush and since then I was addicted.
And of course I desire to succeed as well.
I really like projective and descriptive geometry, the mysterious things. Anamorphosis is a sense of perspective.
It’s means that what you see depends on how you look at it – it’s an anamorphic representation.
This corresponds to today’s individualistic approach. Leonardo da Vinci made the first anamorphic drawing,
which depicts a child’s head and eyes. Then came the turn of such works. I would highlight the Baroque,
who were masters of illusion, because in order to have a fresco in the height of the figures,
they had to distort it to see the correct proportions of the figure (such as Tiepolo frescos).
I was impressed with the Dutch Maurits Cornelis Escher graphic.
