Kestas Manius

Since 2023, I have been developing relief-based works in which acrylic paint, ink and glue are layered with graphite, pigments, filler, wire or organic materials. I set the process in motion and then work with the way materials flow, shrink, crack and harden. The resulting forms can suggest organs, cells, fossils or objects with no clear identity. I leave that recognition open.

Before this, I made generative drawing projects influenced by sound, wind and mechanical movement. The same question remains in my current work: how much can the artist control, and how much should be left to the process itself?
