My work combines acrylic, oil, encaustic, and mixed media techniques, often focusing on texture, transparency, and the dialogue between fragility and strength. I am drawn to abstraction as a way of expressing inner landscapes, memory, transformation, and the unseen connections between nature and human experience.
Born in Riga, my creative path began early with a strong desire to create beauty and personal expression. Over time, my artistic journey developed in two parallel directions — painting and applied arts.

I later continued with specialized studies in leather art and design at a school of applied arts in Latvia.
Between 1981 and 2000, I participated in applied arts exhibitions in Latvia and Germany, exhibiting handcrafted leather works that explored texture, craftsmanship, and material expression.
