Vero Blase

Vero was born in an August of the nineties. They identify with the non-binary gender, thus distancing from a label based on a defined gender and on this distance lies the signature of their work.

Vero is a reserved and shy person, who prefers to reveal little about themselves as they believe that the value is not in what is said or known about the author, but in what their work provokes in those who see it.

They try to convey irreverence through the use of colors and textures that interact, breaking barriers and crossing limits, mixing the two-dimensional with the three-dimensional in a work that combines painting and sculpture with the aim of paying homage to the incredible beauty of Nature in all its dimensions - from the smallest and simplest to the most complex and elaborate that is not always visible to everyone.

Their work is essentially based on the representation and interpretation of the natural, which in itself is prefect. Thus, the work does not intend to be faithful to reality, but to represent mostly small-scale elements of Nature that are rarely noticed, often based on lizards, insects, mollusks, fish...

Vero graduated in architecture in UBI, Portugal and UPV/EHU in Spain, an experience that they consider unique and that opened their horizons, bringing more life to include in their work.
