Veronika Veidere

Artist Biography
I am a self-taught artist based in Riga, Latvia. My artistic practice is centred around colour and light, and I am drawn to the delicate relationship between them. Through painting, I seek to create a sense of lightness and air, capturing the fragile yet timeless beauty of the natural world.
I primarily work in watercolour, while also exploring oil and acrylic painting. Nature is my main source of inspiration, particularly flowers and their endless variety of forms, colours, textures, and moods. I am interested in capturing not only their outward beauty, but also the atmosphere and emotion they evoke.
Since 2022, I have participated in exhibitions at the International BIART Art Gallery in Riga. In 2026, I held my first solo exhibition, “Nature Smiles with Flowers”, at “ Galerija Telpā “ 116 in Riga.
My artistic journey has developed alongside my studies and work in education. From 2020 to 2026, I studied at Irina Trumpele Art Studio. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Latvia and a qualification as a Preschool Teacher.
