Born in Iran in 1979, Vianne Savoli is a Dutch-Iranian artist based in Paris.
Inspired by the Belle Epoque, Vianne's works are a mix of Art Déco and Pop art. Each painting is a narrative combining the real and the fantasy with topics from Vianne's direct environment. The stories are mostly inspired from literature and opera, the pop culture as well as social and psychological questions.
Feminine mannequins play a central role in Vianne's compositions, who deliver their messages to their audience with anonymous faces and expressive silhouettes orchestrating a state of being in a non conformist way. Vianne's mannequins do not have hair and will not have as long as the Islamic veil is mandatory in Iran, Vianne's native country.
