Vica Preszl

I am a Hungarian-born, Miami-based artist working in biomorphic Dada–inspired contemporary abstraction. Trained at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and shaped by an independent path, I create mixed-media paintings that combine sculptural paint, organic forms, and fragmented text.

My practice explores migration, memory, and belonging. After leaving Hungary and arriving in Miami without a permanent sense of home, the city’s pastel horizons and ocean light became both seductive and disorienting, shaping the palette and emotional atmosphere of my work. Through intuitive collage and layered surfaces, my paintings function as psychological landscapes mapping displacement, renewal, and the fragile promise of new beginnings.
