Vicky-May Giraud

I am a French–Swedish, self-taught contemporary artist based in Paris.

Working under the name VMG Perceptions, I create emotionally charged paintings that explore identity, femininity, transformation and the tension between inner and outer selves.

My practice bridges classical artistic influences with contemporary experimentation. I primarily work with acrylic, oil and charcoal, and occasionally stray into multi-media works.

My images often possess a cinematic and theatrical quality, combining strong composition, stylised figures, symbolic details and an atmosphere of mystery.
