Virginia Villafañe

I am an Argentine Visual Artist and Muralist. My practice lives at the intersection of large-scale expressive abstraction and the raw power of the female figure, exploring wild nature, instinct, and vital energy.

For me, the canvas is a space of pure freedom and physical gesture. Working with mixed media, organic textures, and visceral mark-making, I depict women through the lens of primitive strength, magnetism, and ancestral connection.

My artworks are designed to command space—bringing character, rich texture, and a living presence into any environment. My original pieces are currently held in private collections across Argentina, Spain, and New Zealand.

My artistic path began early, deeply rooted in classical oil painting and fine art through private master workshops during my youth. I formalised my studies in Visual Arts at university level in Córdoba, Argentina, before continuing to refine my technique alongside renowned master painters in Mendoza. This blend of academic grounding, private mentorship, and decades of studio discipline shapes the technical mastery and freedom behind my work today.
