The central element in each of my paintings is the use of color. Nature and people serve as elements for my compositions. Composing flat components in muted, layered impasto blocks invites viewers to explore and discover happiness. I have always been curious about why people either like or dislike paintings. This curiosity led me to consider how feelings can be triggered by muted expressions. As a result, my compositions often convey a passive tone and gradually elicit a parasympathetic response. I began my art career by painting portraits on commission in the 1970s. I studied portrait and landscape painting at the Chitra Mandir Art Institute in India. In recent years, I have transitioned from oil and watercolor to acrylic and impasto styles, using palette knives to enhance texture and depth.
