Personal explorations into the nature of Being and the human spirit are the overarching themes of my art. Whether I am exploring and interpreting a symbolic motif to glean manifold meaning from it, utilizing found and created objects to imbue a sculptural assemblage with a sense of person/soul, or creating painterly compositions of objects that give us human comfort, my work concentrates around the core of our Self; the common threads that link our collective existences. I am also influenced by mythographic writings, esoteric philosophy, and the effects of time, mental illness, stress and survival on today's urban wastelands.
