Vladimir Feyderov

I was born on July 7, 1957 — at seven o’clock in the morning, on the seventh day of the week.
The chain of sevens has always seemed to me a symbol of the path I have travelled.
My life was not simple: the early loss of my father, a difficult childhood, years of service in the far North beyond the Arctic Circle, and the long period of work and emigration — all of this shaped my resilience, patience, and deep respect for honest labor.

I graduated as a civil engineer and built a long career — from the simplest jobs to senior positions in major construction companies. I worked in Israel and abroad, led large-scale projects, and created entire residential districts.
It was a long and demanding chapter in my professional life.

But throughout all those years, I always carried within me a quiet inner pull toward nature and working with my hands.

At first — simple attempts and the first tools.
Later — a workshop, lessons, chisels, and the turning lathe.
And then — hundreds of hours, hundreds of details, and the feeling that wood had become my silent companion.

Today, wood for me is not a material but a partner.
Each of my works is born between intention and the natural character of the wood itself.
I search in it for movement...
