The paintings of Vonnie Brenno Cameron convey the constant changing light in landscapes, the frozen movements of clouds and water, the momentary and revealing expressions captured in portraits of people both private and public. These oil paintings capture the world around us with such vivid impact you feel you are there.

Vonnie attended University of Hawaii, University of Southern California and Art Center College of Design. She studied oil painting with artists Glenn Vilppu and Jan Saether.

During the decade of the 80’s Vonnie painted “Public Portraits.” These oil paintings captured people in public settings – caught unawares, or sometimes looking out at the viewer. They depict scenes that anyone could see all around them - people sitting in parks, at outdoor cafes, walking along the street, or looking at art in museums. In capturing ordinary moments and people around us, these paintings show how extraordinary and beautiful our world is.
Her oil paintings were featured in one-woman shows at PS Galleries in Ogunquit, Maine and Dallas, Texas; Hobe Sound Gallery, Hobe Sound, Florida Capricorn Gallery, Bethesda Maryland, and Enthios Galleries, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Palm Springs, California. Her work has appeared in Texas Art Review and American Artists.
