My prints are created using printmaking ink on hand-made paper. These are not machine prints of my art, they are all original works of art.

Art has always been at the heart of how I experience the world. I was handed a Nikon when I was four years old, and with a father who worked as an Associated Press photographer and eventually editor of the Asia Bureau for AP, cameras were always part of our lives. That early exposure taught me to pay close attention—a habit that still shapes everything I create.

I started out as a ceramicist and painter in college, drawn to the physicality of clay and the expressive freedom of paint. I earned my degree in Art with an emphasis in Printmaking from San Francisco State University, and later spent a summer in Tokyo seeking out printmaking studios and galleries. That time immersed in the techniques and creative energy of Japanese printmakers had a lasting impact. Recently, I’ve returned to painting—working with acrylic on canvas to explore new ways of storytelling through color, form, and emotion.
