Cerise Washington

Cerise Washington started oil painting at a very young age. She is a self-taught artist specializing in portrait, figurative, equine, and abstract impressionism, working in oil and acrylic.

She has a University degree in Graphic Design and has spent a number of years of her early career working in her chosen field with several reputable firms in the Broadcasting and Advertising Industry in Dubai. Throughout her 18 years of living in Kuwait, the UAE and Lebanon, Cerise has acquired a keen understanding and appreciation of Middle Eastern art and culture. She still retains her connections and her love for the region, and visits whenever she can.

It was whilst living in Beirut Lebanon that she started painting again. Living by the Mediterranean sea exposed her to the country’s vivid sunsets, exceptional panoramas, exquisite and sumptuous cuisine, and its rich, diverse and ancient culture. All those elements combined to re-ignite and stoke her lingering passion for painting and art in general, a passion that she continues to nurture and develop every day.
