Wendy Gold

Wendy Gold is a California-based artist and the only woman globe maker in the world. For more than fifteen years, she has been transforming maps and globes into handcrafted works of art that celebrate travel, nature, history, and the stories that connect us.

Working from her Northern California studio, Wendy developed a proprietary globe-making process that allows her to transform vintage maps and original artwork into seamless three-dimensional sculptures. Each globe is individually handcrafted using carefully curated vintage imagery, creating richly layered pieces that invite viewers to discover something new with every turn.

Inspired by antique botanical illustrations, natural history, exploration, and the beauty of the world around us, Wendy's work blurs the line between cartography and fine art. Her globes have been collected around the world and featured in homes, galleries, publications, and film, offering a fresh perspective on one of humanity's oldest symbols of discovery.
