Wenji Billow

Born and raised in China, my artistic journey began at Guangxi Normal University in Guilin, where I trained in Fine Arts and served as an art educator. Driven to deepen my mastery of form and ink, I pursued advanced studies at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in traditional Chinese Shui Mo (ink wash), Gong Bi (meticulous brushwork), and Classical Calligraphy.

Since 2005, I have lived and created internationally, bridging Eastern heritage with Western oil painting techniques. My work explores mythological narrative, psychological complexity, and human connection—often carving luminous figures and symbolic flora and fauna out of rich, expressive underpaintings.

My paintings are held in private collections across Asia and Europe, with key exhibitions in Hong Kong and Sweden. I share my ongoing practice and available works through international exhibitions, online galleries, and my studio socials.
