Wanda Hickman

Originally from Reno, Nevada, I began my creative life in my teens, designing and constructing my own clothing. I attended the University of Nevada at Reno as a fashion merchandising and fiber arts major. I married a career Navy man and spent the next 25 years traveling, teaching and experimenting with every art media available. I also attained a degrees in Graphic Design and in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Atlanta. After retirement in 2007 I concentrated on watercolors and was introduced to YUPO® synthetic paper. I now work exclusively with transparent watercolors on YUPO. That combination of materials affords me the opportunity to layer colors and textures in a very exciting way.
