Katarzyna Wolodkiewicz

Katarzyna Wolodkiewicz is a Polish contemporary painter based in Wroclaw. Her practice explores perception, inner experience, transformation and the complex relationship between the visible world and what remains hidden beneath it. She works primarily in painting, developing long-term thematic series in which colour, structure, symbolism and intuitive forms create spaces for reflection and personal interpretation.

She graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw with an MFA in Printmaking in 2002 and completed postgraduate training in Fine Art Pedagogy at the University of Arts in Poznan.

Alongside her independent artistic practice, she is the founder of Fenomenarium, an art school and studio in Wroclaw devoted to drawing, painting and the development of visual perception. Her works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions and are held in private collections in Poland and abroad.

For Wolodkiewicz, painting is not simply an image but a way of seeing: a space in which observation, memory, emotion and imagination can meet.
