Ksenija Pronina is a Latvian artist working in oil and watercolor, inspired by the Baltic coastline, pine forests, and the shifting northern light. Living and creating in Jūrmala, she explores the emotional dialogue between nature, color, and movement. Her work spans contemporary seascapes, expressive figurative pieces, and atmospheric European cityscapes.
Pronina combines impressionistic brushwork with textured palette-knife techniques, using layered color to build depth, rhythm, and luminosity. Her artworks are held in private collections in the USA, Sweden, Germany, Australia, and Latvia.
Since 2017, she has regularly participated in exhibitions at the gallery "Zīmulis un Ota" in Riga. In 2021 she was represented in the WE CONTEMPORARY catalogue by Musa International. Her work was exhibited at the MUSA Pavilion in Venice during the Biennale 2022, and she took part in the International Art Fair “Wings of Riga” (2022) and the We Contemporary Art Show (2022).
