Yanick Cyr is a queer UX-UI designer, graphic designer and visual artist based in Montreal, originally from the Saguenay region. Trained in graphic design, 2D/3D animation and UX-UI, she is currently furthering her studies in acrylic painting at UQAM, exploring the bridges between art, technology and human experience.
With over twenty years as an art director in agencies, she has built a practice where functional rigour meets creative freedom. This balance between structure and emotion runs through her pictorial language: geometric compositions, bold colour and play with relief.
Engaged in the LGBTQ+ community, she embraces an inclusive, plural practice, nourished by Keith Haring, Frank Stella, the Bauhaus, Salvador Dalí and Alexander Calder.
Currently furthering her studies in acrylic painting at UQAM, Montreal. Formally trained in graphic design, 2D/3D animation and UX-UI design, with over twenty years of professional experience as an art director.
Currently exhibiting at L'espace Ax.c as part of a contemporary art initiative, with the exhibition running through August 2026.
