My work explores the psychological and social spaces we inhabit, both collectively and in isolation. Through figurative and semi-abstract painting, I examine how individuals navigate proximity, separation, and shared environments. I am interested in moments where presence feels uncertain — where figures appear suspended between engagement and withdrawal, clarity and obscurity.
Painting allows me to construct spaces that feel simultaneously familiar and unstable. I use colour, layering, and spatial compression to evoke emotional density rather than literal narrative. Figures are often fragmented or partially obscured, reflecting the ways identity is shaped through interaction, memory, and perception.
Rather than offering fixed meanings, my work invites viewers to move through ambiguity — to recognise themselves within scenes of gathering, observation, and quiet tension. These paintings function as psychological interiors, holding traces of human connection, absence, and collective experience.
