ABOUT

EXHIBITIONS

I have spent nearly three decades using photography to examine the human condition and translate internal ideas into visual form. Born in Sarajevo and based in Belgrade since 1989, I have worked professionally since 1996 — first as a photojournalist, later as an independent art photographer and lecturer.

My photographs revolve around narrative, clarity, and emotional resonance. I use black and white as my primary medium because it reduces reality to its essential structure, revealing form, contrast, and feeling without distraction. Every project is an exploration of existence — shifting between subjects, techniques, and concepts whenever the idea demands it.

My work has been exhibited widely, including participation in Peter Greenaway & Saskia Boddeke’s Obedience project at the Jewish Museum in Berlin, where my series Portraits of Hands was featured. Over the years, my images have appeared in numerous international publications, exhibitions, installations, and collaborative multimedia projects.

I aim to create photographs that act as mirrors, not statements. If viewers think, feel, or recognize something of themselves within the frame, the work has fulfilled its purpose.

• Lecturer in Digital Photography (workshops and courses since 2010)
• Faculty of Media and Communications, Belgrade — Lecturer in Synthetic Photography (2012–2016)
