Yuliia Bolshynska

Member of the National Union of Icon Painters of Ukraine

Yuliia has been engaged in icon painting since 2008. Her works are in churches and monasteries in Ukraine and Russia, as well as in private collections in Europe.
Creating icons, Julia adheres to the old technology, which consists in using only natural materials: lime board, levkas with the addition of animal glue, gold leaf, as well as paints that she makes with her own hands from crushed natural pigments with the addition of egg emulsion.
Yuliia loves nature, photography, different types of needleworks and her pets - all this is the source of her inspiration.

In 1995 Yuliia received a degree in landscape architect (Lviv Forestry Institute)
In 2008 graduated from the icon painting school "Burning bush" (Kiev), after which she improved her skill level, attending master classes with leading icon painters and gilding masters.
