Yoshiko Ratliff, a DC-Metro area-based painter and award-winning ceramicist, was born and raised in Japan. Her work showcases the beauty of Japanese culture through abstract organic underpainting with shapes and shades forming integral elements of the finished pieces.
A Member Artist at Touchstone Gallery, she has exhibited at various prestigious galleries including the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities I Street Gallery, Athenaeum Gallery, and the Mansion at the Strathmore. Two of her designs and ten stormwater covers were installed in Old Town North for the City of Alexandria's Stormwater Cover Design Project. Her art is part of private and corporate collections in the US and internationally, and is included in the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities 2022 and 2025 permanent collections. She has received numerous awards and has been featured in publications and radio interviews.
