Dallas-based artist represented by Sparrow Gallery (Denison, TX), Heron House Gallery (Granbury, TX), and Galerie du Nord (Amsterdam).

I discovered art in elementary school in South Korea, where I created my first memorable piece—a diver exploring the ocean. Without formal training until middle school, I learned the basics of drawing and was encouraged by a teacher to pursue art. Financial realities, however, led me to choose a different path.

While studying at university, I drew cartoons as a hobby, often with Christian themes, which were widely shared in churches. After graduation, I became a computer programmer, leaving little time for art.

I returned to painting in 2006, briefly exploring oils, and again in 2016 with acrylics, learning largely through self-study and online resources. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I began painting more seriously, dedicating time to practice and growth.

In 2022, inspired by artists like John Singer Sargent and Egon Schiele, I focused on portraiture and expressive figurative work—an approach that continues to shape my style.

In 2023, I was invited to exhibit at Sparrow Gallery, marking the start of my professional career. Since then, I’ve become active in local art communities in North Texas....
