Sasha Zaitseva

Sasha Zaitseva’s work explores the power of simple everyday moments, transformed into intimate and sensitive experiences. Between fragments of memory and suspended emotions, her paintings reveal the beauty of ordinary gestures and the depth of the memories they carry. Vivid colors, fragmented compositions, and spontaneous gestures express a subtle balance between vitality and fragility. Inspired both by her own story — marked by the rediscovery of painting after a long pause — and by references ranging from Matisse and Hockney to Basquiat, Schiele, Tabouret, and Pétrovitch, her work composes a visual diary where banality becomes revelation, and the intimate meets the universal.
