Zeynep Bato

Zeynep is from Istanbul, Turkey. She has studied many forms of art, ranging from fashion design to Islamic Art. She combines different elements and materials to reflect this diverse experience in her work. Zeynep first studied fashion design in vocational school, followed by an extended internship on fabric design. Afterwards, she studied Traditional Turkish Arts at the Mimar Sinan University. She learned illumination, free hand design and graphic design. During college, she presented her work at national and international exhibitions. In 2014, she prepared a private collection for the Albaraka Turkish Bank Design Project. In 2016, she won the second prize in illumination in the competition named “My Gift Istanbul” organized by the Istanbul Culture Company. In 2017, she graduated with first degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She won the Sakip Sabanci Art Award, the most prestigious recognition for an art major. Following her bachelor’s degree, she started her master’s at the Marmara University, studying East Asian Art. Zeynep is also an experienced art tutor.
