Zoe Brigance

Zoe Brigance was born in 1981 in a city in southern China renowned for its thriving ceramic industry. In 2007, she earned her master degree in Ceramics and Sculpture and then devoted a decade to teaching art at the university level. After moving to the United States in 2016, she settled in a small-town northeast of Dallas, Texas. In this new country, Zoe experienced profound cultural and aesthetic shocks, moving from self-denial, to cultural integration, and ultimately to self-redefinition. It was a challenging, solitary, yet fulfilling and exhilarating transformation. With 25 years of artistic experience, Zoe is both a seasoned practitioner and, at the same time, a newcomer to the art market.
 
Zoe’s works emphasize meticulous attention to detail, carrying strong narrative and conceptual expression, positioned between decorative and representational art. She enjoys experimenting with diverse styles, exploring a wide range of themes, and working with materials of all kinds, guided by the demands of the subject matter. For Zoe, artistic creation is an innate human ability, an indispensable outlet for emotion, a means of self-awareness, and a vehicle for the transmission of ideas.
