------------------------------------------------------------------- Fwed is a French artist born in 1971. He was interested from his childhood in drawing and painting and then developed a passion for all urban arts. Artistic creation becomes essential in his personal evolution. Self-taught and multidisciplinary, he also makes sculptures with recycled materials, but his major artistic activity is now the production of paintings from lacerated posters. The immersion in Fwed's poster work makes us travel to the border of abstraction and figuration, between a formal composition and the freedom of tone of urban art. He explores the imagery of pop culture, dissects artistic, political or advertising icons, evokes the nostalgia of the world of childhood, brings touches of poetry and handles humor and the second degree by associations or juxtapositions that can according to the case to make smile or to think.
