About The Artwork
The snow queen is drowned? A kind of picture carpet, a textile basis as a foundation for stories. The foundation also tells its story. It consists mainly of old clothes. Also of a fiber-paper fabric with integrated glass, which I have specially made for this work. Through the glass you have the view of a digital edited photo on foil. The selection of the different fabrics and colors refers to the main theme. They are both cold, icy, frosty, but also cold-protecting, warming: felt, wool, the lining of a snow suit. Through the combination, this materials act like snow. No matter what techniques I use, "complexity" is always my topic.
