ABOUT THE ARTWORK

At work, we see a bird made from a collage with the head of Yuri Gagarin, who became the first person in world history to make a space flight. Just one flight made Yuri Gagarin a world celebrity. Forbes constantly publishes ratings of the most influential people in the world. It is not surprising that Yuri Gagarin, according to FORBES, became the most influential Russian of the previous century. Yuri Gagarin overtook even Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Putin. The image of a bird, of course, is about the transformation of the soul, reasoning about who Yuri Gagarin became after death. The cosmonaut lived a short but very busy life, visited 30 countries, but unfortunately, he became famous as quickly as he died (in a plane crash). Around the bird with Gagarin's face, we see turtles, which the artist found in the magazine Murzilka. In many cultures, the turtle is the oldest, most revered symbol of the cosmic order. At the end of the 19th century, our world was often depicted on the backs of four elephants resting on the back of a huge turtle. The artist depicted turtles flying in the sky as a reference to the misconceptions of past generations. The gun in Gagarin's hand smashes turtles and all the myths about what our planet looks like. The gun is also a memory of the past and a hope for the future. The main idea: People often talk about what they don't know and haven't seen. Gagarin's flight was the most important event that demonstrated to the whole world the scientific and technical potential of the rocket and space industry of our country, and of course, this person deserves the first place in all ratings of the world.
